rooted in relations & connection

My passion is to support you with storytelling

ABout

My writing ethic is to find the gray. To let words live & breathe by focusing on relations to drive the work through deep & intentional listening & curiosity.

To be human is dynamic with much duality. I strive to make sense of my rambling feet & rooted heart through my writing & poetry. Writing is a way of walking myself home & is my own personal form of healing. I’m passionate about the grit & grace that exists when connecting land-based & human interest stories because words have great power to make us feel, remember & belong.

The Rambling & Rooted mission is one of relations & connection. Thoughtful words & authentic stories have the power to connect us back to one another, back to the land, with ourselves & ultimately, unite us all through finding veins of common ground.

offerings

human interest stories & blogs

I specialize in crafting human interest focused stories, articles & blogs covering a diverse array of unique individuals with compelling stories that evoke curiosity & spark internal introspection.

copywriting & content creation

With a focus on tailored content creation for your specific audience, I offer thoughtful & meaningful solutions for small businesses locally in Montana, across the United States, & even abroad.

Poetry & Poetry events/Workshops

Poetry has the remarkable ability to distill the complexity of human emotions & experiences into a few carefully chosen words. I write poems for you, about you or a loved one, for personal keepsakes or to give as a gift.

I write individualized and intuitive poetry for group events such as weddings, women’s retreats and gatherings & I offer facilitation services to support groups with writing poetry, telling their story & embracing writing as a healing & reflective practice in a safe & intentional space.

Conservation, Land Stewardship, & Volunteer Field Events & Workshops

I manage, coordinate & implement land stewardship projects & conservation events to help restore, conserve & protect our natural lands & engage, recruit & support volunteers. We can come together for the land & leave better from education & hands-on fieldwork. My event planning skills are vast & I’m open to discussing your project & needs.

thoughts

“I have worked with Morgan for over 2 years planning and coordinating conservation oriented workshops and events centering drought resiliency and water in rural Montana.

Morgan has been an amazing help in spearheading these events, keeping organized through sharing working agenda’s with myself and partners, often balancing the intricacies of multi-stakeholder collaboration with ease and tact.”

—Shelby Weigand

Riparian Connectivity Manager, National Wildlife Federation

“Morgan is soulful, earnest, curious and open to possibility, which is why her poetry resonates with most, especially those of us who live in the west. Her ability to listen to understand, rather than respond, allows Morgan to capture the essence of a person or experience honestly. As such, it has been a true pleasure to work with Morgan, and I hope to have the opportunity to do so again and again.”

—Sheryl Wright

Founder & Community Builder, Dare to detour

“Morgan brings a unique perspective that combines her passion for advocacy and conservation with the ability to tell a story authentically. By helping One Montana with our service days she helped to solidify important relationships with landowners, land managers, and nonprofits, and elevate participant experiences. Morgan was a constructive team member with valuable ideas.
