my work ethic

My ethic is to find the gray, let it live & breathe through writings & stories, & focus first on relations to drive the work. I see the duality that exists as a human, representing grit & grace through connecting land-based & human interest focused writing with poetry. Words have power, sometimes delicate & sometimes with fire. I strive to make sense of my rambling feet & rooted heart through writing & write to understand what authentic belonging looks like in practice for each of us.

At the heart of Rambling & Rooted are a few themes that drive the work: connection through shared understanding found through common ground; intentional practices of active and deep listening; cultivating & fostering relations; authenticity & vulnerability by showing up fully; & creating greater beauty through the practice of writing inspired by nature & the land.

Poetry has the remarkable ability to distill the complexity of human emotions & experiences into a few carefully chosen words. I write poems for you, about you or a loved one, for personal keepsakes or to give as a gift.

I write individualized and intuitive poetry for group events such as weddings, women’s retreats & gatherings & I offer facilitation services to support groups with writing poetry, telling their story & embracing writing as a healing & reflective practice in a safe & intentional space.

Morgan was able to capture the essence of our grass-fed, all natural beef business and our family after meeting us briefly. People looking to buy all natural, grass-fed beef want to connect with the families and farms where their food comes from, and Morgan effectively communicated our story with minimal input from us.

She brought humor, professionalism, energy, and momentum to our marketing efforts. And this translated into sales!!!! We’ve since written a grant to be able to continue to contract Morgan’s marketing expertise and are keeping our fingers crossed that she can be a permanent part of the team.
